ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION – St. Charles Lwanga Technical Institute – Butende
MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION and MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS

Dear celebrant and readers, I bring greetings to you all. I am delighted and proud to be part of this wonderful celebrations; BTI @ 40.

I thank the Almighty God who has in these last 40 yrs. enabled the seed that was planted to germinate and blossom meaning the seed fail on a fruitful soil as it was written in Bible.

In a special way let me congratulate all of you who have been a stake in the journey of St Charles Lwanga technical institute Butende i.e Masaka Diocese, our partners from Germany, Former and current B.O.Gs, Administers, Instructors, Parents and Guardians, Alumni, support staff, the community and the students at large, congratulations.

The quality of the alumni country wide and beyond has greatly contributed to the development of Uganda and humanity in general which has advocated the institute near and far. I thank our alumni for keeping the frag of BTI high as we embrace our motto  “Advance with technology.”

One writer Thomas Edson wrote “Opportunity is often missed by people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work” but you (alumni) you never missed the opportunities at BTI.

Looking at the electrical department in particular, the enrollment has greatly improved over the years. We have a well-stocked training workshop with equipments to suit the digital era plus competent instructors. I argue the young boys and girls to come and embrace the various academic programs at BTI as we look to skill and fight for the job market.

Before I conclude let me take this platform to thank deeply from the bottom of my heart all the instructors whom I have served with in this electrical department over the years, those who left and the current ones. Those who left include Mr. Sseruwu Stephen (formal principal), Mr. Kaye, Mr. Ssembusi David, Mr. Odoi Peter, Mr. Ssenono John Mary, Mr. Kiggundu John Baptist and the late Ssolongo Ssempira Thaddeus (RIP). The current ones; Mr. Kalungi Ludovic, Madam Kagoya Martha, thanks for mentoring and skilling future Engineers and technicians.

Lastly, I thank the organizing committee for having accomplished a commendable job to coordinate and bring together all the committees that have contributed to the celebrations.

To you all who have turned up for the celebrations, I don’t want to take it for granted, your presence has been highly appreciated. I wish you all nice celebrations.

FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY
